Son Shining Seniors
The Son Shining Seniors meet Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. for "Prayer Walking." From 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. they enjoy
group fellowship. Each Tuesday holds different events in which the seniors are involved. They enjoy visits from
pastors and lay men of the church. Visitation, senior retreats, short day trips, birthday celebrations, covered dish
lunches, library on wheels, quilting, food basket drives, a yearly health fair, senior Christmas dinner, Classic Car Show,
and support in delivering meals on wheels weekly.
Seniors are examples to the younger members. They are a part of God's family and they deserve every right
that all other Christians enjoy. Senior Christian Adults are to be honored and respected. They can still be productive
and useful. They have a lifetime of experiences to share.
The Son Shining Seniors help minister to the spiritual and material needs of the senior citizens of our church
and community. It promotes fellowship among our seniors. We seek to care for our seniors and their needs, to
provide instruction, discipleship and worship experiences for our seniors. We desire in this ministry to win seniors
to salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ, and also to promote the discipleship of all seniors.
"They shall still bring forth fruit in old age." -Psalm 92:14
